Performance Data and Information Analyst for Coventry City Football Club

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Performance Data and Information Analyst to join our Performance Analysis department, working full time in the club’s Training Camp.

Working with the first Coventry City team, this position provides a crucial service to ensure that raw performance data is transformed into useful information for Training and Performance Analysis teams. In addition, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with all departments of the training camp and will provide information to special projects that require data analysis and information (for example, recruitment teams, sports sciences and doctors).

Job Responsibilities:

Collect, process and analyze match performance data from a variety of sources, including event data, tracking feeds, and internal performance metrics.

Support pre-match, live and post-match analysis, providing information based on data on team performance.

Develop clear and attractive visualizations and reports to communicate tactical and performance trends to coaches and players.

Provide various pre-hoc and post-hoc season reports for review and prediction.

Work closely with performance analysts and technical staff to integrate data into videos and tactical presentations.

Keep track of key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the team’s game philosophy and the coach’s objectives.

Conduct opposition analysis by reviewing quantitative data to support party planning.

Collect, process and submit information about physical data to the sports science department for monitoring and reporting on players.

Continuously evaluate and review data processes to improve the clarity, accuracy and relevance of information.

Work in collaboration with the recruitment department on special projects related to possible player signings.
